8 Channel PoE CCTV Recording – Simple Installation

The HiLook NVR-108MH-C-8P-D features eight integrated PoE network ports, allowing compatible IP security cameras to connect directly to the recorder.

Each PoE connection carries both video data and electrical power through a single Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for separate camera power supplies in typical installations.

This makes the recorder ideal for:

• Residential CCTV security systems

• Retail shops and commercial premises

• Offices and warehouses

• Workshops and small businesses

• Property surveillance and building security

• Upgrading existing compatible HiLook or Hikvision IP CCTV installations

Important: The NVR provides a combined PoE power budget of 75W. The total power requirements of all connected cameras must remain within this limit.

8MP 4K Ultra HD CCTV Camera Support

The NVR-108MH-C-8P-D supports compatible IP security cameras with resolutions up to 8MP (3840 × 2160).

When paired with compatible 4K security cameras, this provides detailed surveillance footage suitable for monitoring entrances, driveways, retail areas and commercial properties.

High-resolution recording can assist with reviewing important details in recorded footage, depending on camera placement, lens selection, lighting and recording settings.

The recorder also supports HDMI output at up to 4K resolution for viewing on compatible monitors.

Please Note: Maximum camera recording resolution and simultaneous live-view decoding capability are different specifications. The number of high-resolution streams displayed simultaneously depends on the recorder's decoding capacity.

Smart Motion Detection 2.0 – Human and Vehicle Classification

The HiLook NVR-108MH-C-8P-D supports Motion Detection 2.0 functionality for more useful CCTV event searching and security monitoring.

With supported cameras, channels and firmware, this technology can help distinguish between human and vehicle movement and other motion events.

Benefits may include:

• More relevant motion detection events

• Human and vehicle classification

• Easier searching of recorded security footage

• Reduced unwanted motion alerts compared with basic pixel-based detection

Availability of intelligent detection features depends on the connected cameras, recorder configuration and firmware.

H.265+ Video Compression – Efficient 4TB Recording

The NVR supports modern video compression technologies including H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264.

H.265+ compression can reduce video storage requirements while maintaining useful recording quality when used with compatible IP cameras.

This helps maximise the available recording space on the included 4TB surveillance hard drive.

Actual recording retention depends on:

• Number of connected cameras

• Camera resolution and recording bitrate

• Frames per second

• Continuous or motion-triggered recording

• Video compression settings

• Amount of movement within the camera image

The 4TB hard drive is installed and ready for configuration.

Remote CCTV Viewing and Playback

When connected to a suitable network and configured with compatible services, the HiLook NVR allows users to view their security system remotely.

Depending on the installed firmware and supported application, users can access:

• Live CCTV camera viewing

• Recorded video playback

• Security event notifications

• Camera and recording management

Remote viewing requires a suitable internet connection and correct recorder configuration.
